The England international has signed a five-year contract with Cesc Fàbregas’ side after ending his long association with Chelsea.

The transfer is reportedly worth €30 million, with a further €6 million available in add-ons. Reuters reported that the financial details were not officially disclosed, although British media put the value at around €30 million plus potential add-ons.

Chalobah, 27, came through Chelsea’s academy and made 47 appearances for the club in all competitions last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.

He will now reunite with Fàbregas, having previously worked with the former Chelsea midfielder during his time at the London club.

“I’m thrilled and honoured to be here at Como,” Chalobah said. “It’s an ambitious, rising project, and working with manager Cesc Fàbregas again is truly special.”

Fàbregas also welcomed the defender, describing him as an important signing who brings “strength, speed and personality” to Como’s defence.

The move represents another major step in Como’s rapid rise. The club have continued to invest heavily since returning to Serie A, with Fàbregas building a squad capable of competing at the highest level.

For Chalobah, the transfer brings an end to his Chelsea career and gives him a fresh challenge in Italian football.

The defender will now look to establish himself as a key player in Fàbregas’ Como side.
