Kane believes Bayern are capable of causing problems for any team in the competition, insisting that Vincent Kompany’s side has the quality, experience and attacking firepower required to challenge for the title.

The confidence comes after Bayern made a statement on the opening night of their Champions League campaign, crushing Bodø/Glimt 5:0.

Kane was among the scorers as Bayern produced a dominant second-half display to underline their credentials. The England captain feels Bayern have also grown tactically under Kompany.

After falling short in the semi-finals last season, the squad now has a greater understanding of the manager’s demands, particularly when pressing and controlling possession.

“We’re a threat to any team,” Kane’s message underlined, reflecting Bayern’s belief that they can compete with Europe’s elite when the knockout stages arrive.

Bayern’s ambition is clear. Kane has already described the current campaign as one in which the club must take the final step after coming so close last season.

The German giants were eliminated by Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals, leaving them determined to turn their progress into European silverware.

With Kane leading the attack and Bayern boasting a squad packed with elite talent, the German champions have once again placed themselves among the teams capable of challenging for the Champions League crown.

For Kane, who has made winning Europe’s biggest trophy one of his major ambitions at Bayern, the message to the rest of the continent is simple: Bayern should not be underestimated.
