Malo Gusto’s future at Chelsea remains a talking point this summer, with an exit still considered possible despite the French full-back continuing to be part of the club’s plans.

The situation has reportedly remained unchanged since June, with Chelsea valuing Gusto at around £75 million. The Blues are understood to be prepared to listen to offers should a club meet their valuation.

Chelsea F.C.’s asking price, however, could prove a major obstacle for potential suitors. Manchester City F.C. have an interest in Gusto and appreciate his qualities, but the Premier League champions are not currently willing to pay the £75 million figure being demanded.

Gusto has established himself as an important option at right-back since arriving at Chelsea, offering pace, attacking energy and versatility. His ability to operate as both a conventional full-back and a more advanced wing-back makes him an attractive profile for clubs seeking tactical flexibility.

For Chelsea, the decision could ultimately depend on whether City—or another interested club—is willing to meet their valuation. Unless that happens, Gusto could remain at Stamford Bridge and continue competing for a prominent role.

With the transfer window still open, the door to an exit remains open—but £75 million could be the key to unlocking it.
