The Portugal international remains at the centre of intense transfer speculation as the summer window approaches its final stages. Galatasaray have been particularly persistent in their pursuit, having previously explored a deal for the winger and reportedly offered a lucrative salary package.

Milan are understood to have rejected an initial proposal from the Turkish champions worth around €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses, with the Rossoneri valuing Leão significantly higher. Recent reports suggest Milan could be looking for around €50 million or more to sanction his departure.

Saudi Arabian clubs are also monitoring the situation, potentially giving Leão and his representatives another avenue if a move to Turkey fails to materialise. The financial power of Saudi clubs could make them serious contenders, particularly if they are prepared to offer the winger a substantial salary.

However, Leão’s position remains crucial. The forward recently moved to distance himself from some of the speculation surrounding his future, insisting that only authorised representatives should speak on his behalf.

Galatasaray remain interested, although reports have suggested that Leão has not been completely convinced by the Turkish option, with Champions League football believed to be an important factor in his thinking.

With Milan still holding a strong negotiating position, Leão’s next move could depend on whether Galatasaray or a Saudi club is willing to meet the Italian side’s valuation. The coming days could therefore prove decisive in determining whether the Portuguese star remains in Milan or begins a new chapter elsewhere.
