Rashford Returns to Man United in No.9 Shirt
Marcus Rashford returned for Manchester United against AC Milan after his Barcelona loan, wearing No.9 despite reports that he will use No.14 this season.

Marcus Rashford has made his long-awaited return to Manchester United after spending last season on loan at Barcelona.
The England international came off the bench against AC Milan in United's final pre-season friendly in Wroclaw, Poland, marking his first appearance for the club since December 2024.
Rashford spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Barcelona after falling out of favour at Manchester United. Barcelona's original agreement with United covered the loan until June 30, 2026, with an option to make the move permanent.
He has now returned to Carrington and is back in Michael Carrick's plans as United prepare for the new Premier League campaign.
Interestingly, Rashford wore the No.9 shirt against Milan.
That immediately sparked speculation that the forward could take the number permanently. However, reports indicate that United have actually assigned Rashford the No.14 shirt for the new season.

The No.9 therefore should not yet be described as Rashford's new permanent number.
His return also comes after a major change in the United dugout. Carrick is now in charge, and the manager has already spoken positively about what Rashford can offer the team. Reuters reported that Carrick believes the forward can bring something different to United's attack.
United lost the friendly 4-2 to Ruben Amorim's AC Milan, but the bigger story for the club was Rashford's return.
After a difficult period away from Old Trafford, he now has another opportunity to rebuild his Manchester United career.
Can Rashford make this second chance count?
