Roma Turn Up The Heat For Porto Wonderkid With Salary-Covered Loan Offer
AS Roma have sent a fresh proposal for FC Porto youngster Rodrigo Mora, with the Italian club pushing to structure the deal as a loan that would see them cover the player’s salary.

The latest formula is understood to include a purchase option that could become mandatory if certain conditions are met during the loan spell. The structure would allow Roma to initially bring Mora to the club on loan while giving them a pathway to make the transfer permanent if the agreed sporting or contractual conditions are triggered.

Roma have been working on several different proposals for the highly-rated Portuguese attacking midfielder as they attempt to reach an agreement with Porto.
Reports indicate that the overall value of the operation remains around the €50 million mark, although the payment structure has been repeatedly discussed and adjusted.

The latest approach is designed to give Roma greater financial flexibility while still offering Porto a clear route towards a permanent sale. Porto have reportedly been considering different structures, including a loan with an option to buy and alternative arrangements involving an upfront payment and future sell-on rights.
Mora, 19, is regarded as one of Porto’s most exciting young talents and remains under contract with the Portuguese club. His technical ability, versatility and attacking potential have made him a major target for Roma as they look to strengthen their squad.

Negotiations are continuing, with the exact conditions that would turn the purchase option into an obligation still requiring agreement between the clubs.
Roma are now hoping the revised proposal can finally unlock the deal after several attempts to find a formula acceptable to Porto.
