Cucurella Opens Up On Instant Decision To Join Real Madrid
Chelsea Lamasia graduate, Marc Cucurella has just completed a shock move to Los Blancos for a fee around €60m. The move was kept secret untill announced by his new club and confirmed by Chelsea through their official social media pages.

The former Barcelona man had taken to media to explain his reason to have joined the White Angels, he has expressed no doubt about the switch to Santiago Bernabeu, according to to him, he didn’t think the offer twice.
Cucurella had in the past said, he would find it hard to turn down an offer from Barcelona, as he hoped to reunite with his boyhood club, but the recent turn of events saw him switch allegiance to the team’s bitter rivals.
The Spaniard had made criticism over Chelsea hierarchy, saying the team had only succeeded in recruiting “inexperience”, his statement came after PSG eliminated the Blues in a 8:2 humiliating aggregate in the Champions League.
He went on to express disappointment over the departure of Chelsea ex manager Enzo Maresca whom has now committed to the Manchester City project. These are many others were the rancour behind the shock move.
Cucurella, though had a hard time settling in at the London side, but has found his feet with the team, and in form at the time, but the development of Jorrel Hato is a huge encouragement to Chelsea for the release of Marc.
Madrid had gone two seasons with no trophy and are on the verge of rebuilding. They successfully landed veteran manager Jose Mourinho, whom has hit the ground running with recruitments.
Since his arrival, Madrid has pulled through with the transfers of Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries, Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, Liverpool defender Ibrahim Konate and now, Marc Cucurella, all of these recruits for a fee less than €100m.
News have it that Real Madrid are seriously monitoring the situation of Argentine, Enzo Fernandez. The World Cup winner had joined his voice to that of Cucurella to speak against the Chelsea hierarchy, and has used his official media account to like the announcement of his team mate’s transfer.
Cucurella is set to join his new teammates after the world cup campaigns in USA, where he is currently representing his home nation, Spain.
