Reports from Spain institutes an initial contact has taken place between the two sides, with Manchester City, weighing to strengthen her midfield.

Real Madrid are reportedly willing to listen to offers and value the French international in the region of €60 million. Sale of Camavinga could be profitable for the Los Blancos as part of their squad rebuild.

Camavinga arrived at the Bernabeu from Rennes in August 2021 for a fee in the region of €31 million, on a six-year deal. His playing time apparently dropped during the 2025/26 season, currently he has fallen out of favours with national team coach Didier Deschamps, who called Manu Koné to the squad instead for the World Cups.

The arrival of José Mourinho as manager of Real Madrid appears to have accelerated his path of the 23 year old French international towards the exit door. Jose is quite unconvinced that Camavinga fits into his playing style.

Real Madrid has placed a price tag roughly twice the price they got the former Rennes wonder kid. Camavinga gave his quota in Spain, winning the Li Liga and Champions League titles in 2022 and 2024.

While Manchester City has taken a step foward, Manchester United, PSG, and Inter Milan have all been linked with interest in Camavinga this summer. At the time, no fee has been formally agreed, and no personal terms have been discussed publicly.

A sale at €60 million for a player who cost €31 million generates meaningful capital to redirect toward Mourinho’s preferred targets.

Real Madrid’s proactive approach of contacting clubs rather than waiting for bids; suggests the manager has a clear picture of who stays and who does not as part of a broader squad overhaul.
