Brighton Shock Arsenal With Stunning 3-0 Victory

Brighton continued their sensational start to the Premier League season with a commanding 3–0 victory over Arsenal at the Amex Stadium.

The Seagulls delivered a performance full of intensity, pressing and attacking quality to bring Arsenal's perfect start to the campaign crashing down.

Brighton took control in the first half and were rewarded after 31 minutes when Pascal Groß produced a superb finish from distance to put the hosts ahead.

Arsenal struggled to respond, and Brighton doubled their advantage just before half-time. Charalampos Kostoulas found the bottom corner with a long-range effort, leaving the Gunners with a mountain to climb at the break.

The second half brought more misery for Mikel Arteta's side.

Just 12 minutes after the restart, Chema Andrés rose highest from a Groß corner to head Brighton into a 3–0 lead. It was Andrés' first Premier League goal and effectively put the result beyond Arsenal.

Arsenal were unable to find a response as Brighton continued to threaten on the counter-attack. The hosts even came close to adding a fourth late on, with David Raya making important saves to keep the scoreline down.

The defeat ended Arsenal's perfect start after four consecutive Premier League victories. They had also conceded only once in those opening four matches before Brighton exposed their defence.

For Brighton, meanwhile, the victory further underlined their remarkable beginning to the campaign. The Seagulls have now scored 16 goals in five Premier League matches, the highest tally in the division, while remaining unbeaten.

It was a statement victory for Fabian Hürzeler's side — and another reminder that Brighton are not simply enjoying a good start. They are becoming a serious force.
