Haaland Completes His Premier League Collection

The Manchester City striker completed the set on Sunday by scoring in City's 5-3 victory over Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium.

Sunderland were the only club Haaland had previously faced without scoring against. He had failed to find the net in their two previous meetings, but finally broke his duck in the 81st minute. His goal was initially ruled out for offside before VAR intervened and confirmed it.

That means Haaland has now scored against all 25 different Premier League opponents he has faced since joining Manchester City in 2022.

The milestone came during another prolific start to the season for the Norwegian. The Sunderland goal was his fifth Premier League goal of the campaign and his 117th in the competition overall.

His record against some Premier League opponents is already remarkable. West Ham have conceded 11 goals to him, while Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton have each conceded 10. Manchester United have also suffered nine goals from Haaland in just eight league appearances.

Haaland's latest achievement puts him alongside Harry Kane as one of the players to achieve the feat.

Haaland has now added Sunderland to a collection that already includes goals against some of the biggest clubs in English football.

The Norwegian has also been particularly prolific against several opponents. His nine Premier League goals against Manchester United, for example, have come in just eight appearances.

For now, Haaland's Premier League scoring record reads 25/25 against the clubs he has faced.
