Manchester City Officially Appeal Premier League Commission Verdict
Manchester City have formally appealed the Premier League Commission verdict, insisting the club is innocent and highlighting alleged errors in law, principle and fact.

Manchester City have formally lodged their appeal against the Premier League Commission’s findings in the long-running disciplinary case involving the club.
In a statement, City confirmed that their comprehensive appeal was filed at 7pm on Thursday, October 1, 2026, maintaining that the Commission’s opinion contains “clear material errors” of law, principle and fact.
The club also reiterated its position that it is innocent of the accusations brought by the Premier League, insisting that it has extensive evidence supporting its case.
“The Club’s firm position is that, on multiple grounds, the opinion contains clear material errors, of law, principle and fact and is unsafe.”
City added that it will continue to respect the legal and regulatory process but said it is restricted in what it can say publicly while proceedings remain ongoing.
The appeal represents the next major stage in the case after the independent commission concluded that Manchester City had breached Premier League rules over an extended period.
