Mbappé Refuses to Advise Olise on Real Madrid Move

Kylian Mbappé has refused to encourage Michael Olise to leave Bayern Munich for Real Madrid, saying it would be disrespectful to advise his France teammate to change clubs.

Olise was heavily linked with a move to Madrid during the summer, with his performances for Bayern and France making him a reported target for the Spanish giants.

Mbappé, however, said he would not get involved in the decision.

“I saw the speculation, but I know this situation very well. When I was a PSG player, there were countless rumours,” Mbappé told BILD.

“And I think it would be disrespectful to advise a player to leave. That would be unfair to Bayern.”

The Real Madrid forward also stressed that Bayern remains an excellent club for Olise to continue his development and achieve major honours.

“Especially since Bayern is a great club where Michael can achieve a lot,” he added.

Mbappé did not hide his admiration for the 24-year-old, though, insisting that Olise's quality would make him attractive to clubs across the world.

“Of course, every club in the world would love to have Michael Olise. He's an outstanding player.”

Olise ultimately remained at Bayern, despite the transfer speculation surrounding him during the summer.

Mbappé's comments also contrast with earlier reports suggesting he had been trying to convince his international teammate to move to Madrid. His own account makes clear that he did not consider it appropriate to push Olise towards leaving Bayern.
