Mbappé Reveals His Ambition to Reach 100 Goals for France

Kylian Mbappé has opened the door to the possibility of scoring 100 goals for the French national team, admitting that the remarkable international records of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have changed his perspective.

The France captain was asked about the prospect of reaching the century mark for his country, a milestone that once seemed almost impossible to him.

Mbappé revealed that, had he been asked the same question earlier in his career, he would have dismissed the idea. However, the achievements of Ronaldo and Messi have demonstrated that extraordinary international scoring records are possible.

“There are two guys, Ronaldo and Messi, who have shown it is possible,” Mbappé said.

“If you’d asked me before, I would have told you ‘no’. But now, they have shown the way. So why not?”

Ronaldo has established himself as the leading scorer in men's international football, while Messi has also surpassed the century mark for Argentina. Their longevity and consistency have set a new benchmark for elite forwards.

Mbappé is already among France's most prolific goalscorers and, at just 27, has considerable time to continue adding to his international tally.
