Zlatan Reveals His Bold Predictions for 2026/27

Zlatan Ibrahimović has revealed his picks for some of the biggest prizes in European football this season — and the Swedish legend has backed Manchester City and Barcelona to dominate.

During his recent appearance on Kevin Hart's Netflix show Cold as Balls, Ibrahimović was asked about the current generation of footballers and gave his selections for the season ahead.

🏆 Premier League — Manchester City

Zlatan has backed Manchester City to finish top of the Premier League.

City have started the campaign strongly and remain one of the leading forces in English football, with Erling Haaland continuing to spearhead their attack.

🔵🔴 La Liga — Barcelona

In Spain, Ibrahimović has gone for his former club Barcelona.

The Catalan giants are looking to retain their domestic crown and have assembled a squad built around a mixture of established stars and a remarkable young generation.

🌕 Ballon d'Or — Lamine Yamal

This is perhaps Zlatan's most interesting selection.

He has backed Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal to win the 2026 Ballon d'Or.

Ibrahimović has already made his admiration for Yamal very clear. When Kevin Hart asked him to choose a player from the current generation whom he supports, Zlatan immediately selected the Barcelona star.

“If I have to choose, I would say Yamal. He is my guy today,” Ibrahimović said.

The timing of that endorsement is significant, with Yamal firmly involved in the 2026 Ballon d'Or conversation after another outstanding year with Barcelona and Spain.

⭐ Champions League — Barcelona

Zlatan has also backed Barcelona to go all the way in Europe.

That would give the Catalan club a remarkable potential double — La Liga and the Champions League — while Yamal could simultaneously claim the biggest individual prize in the game.

It is certainly an ambitious set of predictions from the former Barcelona striker.

Manchester City for the Premier League.

Barcelona for La Liga.

Barcelona for the Champions League.

And Lamine Yamal for the Ballon d'Or.

Now the waiting game begins to see how many of Zlatan's calls come true.
