Barcelona's expected signing of Karim Adeyemi could reshape Hansi Flick's attacking options ahead of the new season, but it also raises serious questions about the future of Ferran Torres.

Adeyemi is reportedly on the verge of completing a move from Borussia Dortmund after both clubs advanced negotiations, with the German forward expected to sign a long-term deal.

Known for his blistering pace, direct dribbling and ability to play across the front line, Adeyemi offers Barcelona another dynamic option on either wing. His arrival would strengthen competition in an attack already featuring Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski, leaving fewer opportunities for Torres.

For Ferran Torres, the timing is far from ideal. Despite enjoying one of his most productive campaigns in a Barcelona shirt, uncertainty over his contract renewal and growing interest from Paris Saint-Germain have intensified speculation surrounding his future. Reports suggest Adeyemi's arrival could push the Spanish international further down the pecking order, making a summer exit increasingly plausible.

However, the competition could also motivate Torres to fight for his place. His versatility, experience in La Liga and knack for delivering important goals make him a valuable squad player, even if he is no longer guaranteed a starting role.

For Barcelona, signing Adeyemi would represent another step in building a younger, faster and more flexible attack under Flick. But it may also mark the beginning of the end for Ferran Torres, whose future now appears more uncertain than ever as the transfer window gathers pace.
