Kylian Mbappé has insisted that France's focus remains firmly on securing qualification for the knockout stages as Les Bleus prepare for their second FIFA World Cup group-stage match against Iraq.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, the France captain reflected on the prospect of making his 100th appearance for the national team, describing it as a significant personal milestone. However, Mbappé stressed that team success takes priority over individual achievements.

"The objective is to qualify," the forward emphasized, underlining France's determination to maintain their strong start to the tournament.

France opened their World Cup campaign with an impressive 3-1 victory over Senegal, a match in which Mbappé scored twice. The Real Madrid star's brace further cemented his status as one of the tournament's standout performers and helped France take control of Group I.
