Kobbie Mainoo Leads Premier League for Possession Won
Kobbie Mainoo has won possession 40 times this Premier League season, the most of any player, while posting a 93.92% pass accuracy.

Kobbie Mainoo has emerged as one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, despite Manchester United's difficult start to the campaign.
The 21-year-old midfielder has won possession 40 times so far, more than any other player in the Premier League, according to statistics shared by Statman Dave.
Mainoo's defensive contribution has been particularly noticeable during United's opening matches. His ability to regain possession has given Michael Carrick another important quality in midfield as the club looks to improve after collecting just five points from their first five league games.
The midfielder's work without the ball is complemented by his efficiency in possession.

Squawka reports that Mainoo has attempted 296 passes this season and completed 278 of them, giving him a pass accuracy of 93.92%. That is the highest passing accuracy among Premier League midfielders with at least 200 attempted passes.
His numbers therefore point to a midfielder who has been heavily involved both when United have the ball and when they are trying to win it back.
Mainoo's performances have come during a difficult period for United. The team have won only once in their opening five Premier League matches and most recently drew 1-1 with Fulham.
That makes his individual numbers particularly interesting. While possession-winning statistics alone do not determine the quality of a midfielder's overall performances, Mainoo is currently leading the league in this particular category while also ranking highly for passing efficiency.
For Manchester United, the challenge is turning those individual contributions into better team results.
