Casemiro Joins Inter Miami: Brazilian Midfield Legend Begins New MLS Chapter

Inter Miami have officially completed the signing of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, adding one of the most decorated players of his generation to an already star-studded squad.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder joins the MLS club as a free agent after bringing his spell at Old Trafford to an end. Casemiro has signed a contract through the end of the 2027 MLS season, with an option to extend his stay until 2029.

The move reunites the five-time UEFA Champions League winner with fellow football icons Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul, as Inter Miami continue to strengthen their ambitions of dominating Major League Soccer and competing for international honours.

However, the transfer has not been without controversy. Major League Soccer has confirmed it is investigating the deal following allegations of possible tampering related to Casemiro's discovery rights, which were previously held by LA Galaxy. Inter Miami insist they legally acquired those rights before finalising the transfer, while the league continues its review.

Despite the ongoing investigation, Casemiro's arrival is a major statement of intent from Inter Miami, adding another elite winner to a squad aiming to cement its place among the strongest teams in North American football.
