Mourinho Transfer Plan Could Unleash Mbappe and Vinicius
Real Madrid's latest signings suggest Jose Mourinho is building a stronger defensive team to help Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior shine.

Real Madrid's recent signings have started a big debate among fans.
Many expected Jose Mourinho to spend heavily on attacking players. Instead, Madrid have moved for players such as Marc Cucurella, Ibrahima Konaté and Denzel Dumfries.
That has led some fans to ask a simple question: Why is Mourinho focusing so much on defence when he already has Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior in his squad?
One football observer believes the answer is clear.
According to his analysis, Mourinho is trying to build a team that is difficult to break down. The idea is simple. Let defenders defend, let midfielders win the ball, and let players like Mbappe and Vinicius focus on scoring goals.
It is a strategy Mourinho has used before. During his first spell at Real Madrid, his team scored an incredible 121 goals in a single season. That side was led by Cristiano Ronaldo, who enjoyed one of the best periods of his career under the Portuguese coach.
However, that team was not only about Ronaldo and goals. Mourinho built a strong structure behind his attackers. The defence won the ball back quickly, protected the team when needed and allowed the forwards to stay high up the pitch.
Looking at players like Dumfries, Konaté and Cucurella, there appears to be a clear pattern. They are strong, fast, aggressive in duels and capable of recovering possession quickly.
The controversial part is that Mourinho seems to be moving against the direction of modern football.
Today, many top teams are obsessed with possession. Mourinho has always preferred organisation, discipline and quick attacks after winning the ball.
The speed of Madrid's transfer business also suggests there is a clear plan. Rather than chasing superstar signings, the club appears to be targeting players who fit Mourinho's system.
If that plan works, Real Madrid could become one of the toughest teams in Europe to play against while giving Mbappe and Vinicius even more freedom to destroy opponents.
For Mourinho's critics, it looks defensive.
For Mourinho's supporters, it looks like the start of another winning formula.
