Savinho Open to Tottenham Move as Spurs Push for Deal

Manchester City winger Savinho is open to leaving the club this summer, with Tottenham now working on a deal for the Brazilian.

The 22-year-old is interested in moving to Spurs, while new head coach Roberto De Zerbi has made him one of his top transfer targets.

Manchester City are aware of Tottenham's interest, and talks over a possible move are now underway.

Savinho joined City from Troyes in July 2024 for £30.8 million after an impressive loan spell at Girona. Tottenham also wanted to sign him last summer, but City decided to keep him.

The Brazilian later signed a new contract until 2031, showing that City saw him as part of their future.

However, things have changed.

Savinho played regularly in his first season under Pep Guardiola, scoring three goals in 48 appearances. Last season was more difficult. He featured in 36 matches but found it harder to secure a regular starting place.

Competition on the wings became stronger after the arrivals of Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo, limiting his opportunities.

Now, a fresh start could be the best option.

For Tottenham, Savinho fits De Zerbi's style perfectly. He is quick, direct and loves taking on defenders. His ability to create chances and stretch opposition defences could give Spurs another dangerous attacking option.

Manchester City must now decide whether to keep a talented young player or allow him to leave for regular football elsewhere.

If the move happens, Savinho would arrive in north London with plenty to prove after two mixed seasons at the Etihad Stadium.
