He Would Have To Suffer Against Lamine Yamal -Dani Olmo

The news of Marc Cucurella’ summer move to Los Blancos came as a shock, especially to his Spanish teammates. Non of the boys camping with the ex Barcelona, now Madrid star in USA for the World Cup admitted expecting the transfer.

Dani Olmo has expressed his shock, “We didn’t expect it,” he said speaking to Sport. “…I’m happy for him because he’s my friend, now he’s going to have to suffer in the league and so will we. He’s going to have to suffer against Lamine, for example.”

Olmo said Cucurella had kept the information a secret from everyone, and that the Spanish camp got to hear of the news from club announcements.

When asked about Madrid’ summer transfers, Olmo clearly stated that he is not concerned about what player the White Angels recruit, his main focus at the time, is the World Cup; he added that Barcelona are ever ready to contend for the league the coming season.

He went on to say that what Madrid are doing at the time is  normal for a team that has gone two years without success, he said Madrid has world-class players, but his Barcelona side, are not worried. “We have made a great signing with Gordon and we are happy” he added, expressing his delight in their new English recruit Anthony Gordon.

Barcelona has dominated the el Classico in the recent times. The Catalonians have won four times in the last 5 meetings of the two sides. Madrid are out to change the narrative, Jose Mourinho has just being announced, and a score of other players have been recruited as well.
