Real Madrid Begin Talks to Sign Rodri From Manchester City

Real Madrid have started talks with Manchester City over a move for international award winning superstar midfielder Rodri.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have made their first approach to City after club president Florentino Pérez approved the deal.

The Spanish club have reportedly told City they are ready to pay more than €50 million for the 30-year-old. However, Manchester City are expected to ask for a much higher fee.

Rodri is believed to be interested in a move to Real Madrid if an agreement can be reached. Reports say he would choose Madrid over any other club.

Manchester City, however, do not want to lose one of their most important players. The Premier League champions are still hoping Rodri will sign a new contract and stay at the Etihad Stadium.

The Spain international is currently recovering from minor back surgery and is expected to miss the start of the new season.

Talks between the two clubs are still in the early stages. No agreement has been reached and no transfer fee has been accepted.

If negotiations continue, Rodri could become one of Real Madrid's biggest signings of the summer. For now, both clubs remain in discussions as the future of the Ballon d'Or winner remains uncertain.
