Fulham have completed the signing of Gonzalo García from Real Madrid in a deal worth up to €42 million.

The agreement includes a €40 million fixed fee with an additional €2 million in performance-related add-ons, making it one of Fulham's biggest-ever transfer investments.

Real Madrid have also negotiated significant long-term protections in the deal. Los Blancos will retain a 30% sell-on clause, ensuring they benefit from any future transfer involving the young striker. In addition, the Spanish giants have secured matching rights, giving them the opportunity to match any future bid should Fulham decide to sell García.

The move represents a major step in Gonzalo García's career as he prepares for regular Premier League football after rising through Real Madrid's academy. Fulham believe the talented forward has the potential to develop into one of Europe's top attacking prospects.

For Real Madrid, the structure of the agreement reflects their confidence in García's long-term potential. While they are allowing him to leave permanently, the sell-on clause and matching rights ensure they maintain influence over his future should he flourish in England.

Fulham will now look to integrate the Spanish youngster into their squad ahead of the new season, hoping he can strengthen their attacking options and justify the significant investment.
