Jhon Durán to Benfica: Colombian Striker Set for Surprise Loan Move
Jhon Durán is closing in on a loan move to Benfica from Al Nassr, with a buy option included as the Colombian looks set for a return to European football.

Jhon Durán is on the verge of joining Benfica after a deal was agreed with Al Nassr for the Colombian striker to move to Portugal on loan.
According to reports, the agreement includes a non-mandatory purchase option, giving Benfica the chance to sign the 22-year-old permanently if he impresses during his spell in Lisbon.
Durán is said to have rejected offers from two other UEFA Champions League clubs, choosing Benfica because of the club's long-term project and the opportunity to work under Marco Silva, who is reportedly set to take charge of the Portuguese giants.
The financial package will see Al Nassr continue paying part of Durán's salary, making the deal more affordable for Benfica. The striker is expected to undergo his medical this weekend before the move is officially announced.
After leaving Aston Villa for Al Nassr earlier this year, Durán now has the opportunity to return to European football and continue his development in one of Europe's most respected talent-producing clubs.
If completed, the move could prove beneficial for all parties, with Benfica adding a powerful young striker, Al Nassr maintaining the player's value, and Durán gaining regular football at the highest European level.
