Garnacho Prioritises Roma Move as Chelsea Negotiations Continue
Alejandro Garnacho wants to join AS Roma, but Chelsea's demand for a guaranteed permanent transfer remains the key hurdle in ongoing negotiations.

Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly made AS Roma his preferred destination this summer, with negotiations continuing as the Italian club works to reach an agreement with Chelsea.
The Argentine winger is understood to be keen on joining Roma despite interest from elsewhere, believing the move offers the right environment for his development and regular playing time.
However, the deal remains far from complete. The biggest obstacle is the transfer structure. Chelsea are pushing for a permanent sale or a loan that includes a guaranteed obligation to buy, ensuring the winger leaves Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis.
Roma, on the other hand, are proposing an initial loan with a purchase clause that would only become mandatory if certain conditions are met. The difference in the clubs' positions means negotiations are still ongoing.
Despite the gap, talks between the two sides have not broken down, and there is optimism that a compromise could eventually be reached if both clubs adjust their demands.
For now, Garnacho's preference is clear, but whether Roma can meet Chelsea's terms will determine if the transfer goes through before the summer window closes.
